About

I like problems where the messy part is the real part - reconciling records that disagree, naming things consistently, deciding what a system should refuse to answer. Most of my projects started as something I personally needed and got tired of doing by hand.

The connector project is the clearest example. The interesting work wasn't wiring up an API; it was making sure the system flags an unverified alias instead of quietly guessing, and returns an empty result instead of a plausible-looking number. I found and fixed that exact bug while writing the evaluation suite.

Outside of that: productivity systems, learning tools, and tinkering with interfaces until they stop feeling annoying.
